Sallah: Tinubu urges Nigerians to approach the future with renewed optimism, vigour

By Sola Omoniyi, Lagos
President Bola Tinubu has urged the populace to face the future with renewed hope and vigour as Nigerians join their counterparts from around the world to celebrate Eid-el-Kabir.
In addition to accepting the challenges of the present, he advised facing the future with vigour and renewed hope in the knowledge that things would get better and brighter in the future.
He stated that the extraordinary deed of Prophet Ibrahim serves as an example of the festival of Eid-el-Kabir, which emphasizes sacrifice and complete submission to Allah.
In his Sallah message, President Bola Tinubu maintained that, aside from the illustrious example of the Prophet Ibrahim offering his only son Ismail as a sacrifice to Allah, there is no greater sense of duty ever documented in history.
“The best way for us to demonstrate this example is in how we conduct ourselves about our fellow citizens and our duties to our beloved country,” he said. We must imbibe and demonstrate the values inherent in Prophet Ibrahim’s life, namely complete devotion to Allah, tolerance, patience, perseverance, selflessness, love, and compassion.”
