The Movement for the Rights of Arogbo-Ibe (MRAI) has extended its heartfelt congratulations to Hon. Tob Loko, Ph.D, for his recent appointment and resumption of duty as the Commissioner for Environment in Ondo State.

In a statement signed by its coordinator

Hosea T. Ebikontei and Bomi Stanley Secretary said the emergence is a significant opportunity for balkanized Ijaw people of the state to feel a sense of belonging and relevance in the affairs of the state, citing that the gesture also served as a moment of joy and reflection of opportunities ahead.

The statement reads,

“We, the Movement for the Rights of Arogbo Ibe (MRAI), extend our heartfelt congratulations to Hon. Tob Loko, Ph.D, on your recent appointment and resumption of duty as the Commissioner for Environment in Ondo State.

“Your emergence is a significant opportunity for our people to feel a sense of belonging and relevance in the affairs of the state. It is also a moment that should serve as a source of joy, not controversy.

“That said, we must strongly caution against any attempt to operate your office as a private estate, similar to what we have sadly witnessed at the local government level — where public office has been reduced to personal trade, and public property shared among cronies.

“We are aware of developments suggesting that certain interests may have influenced your appointment through the provision of vehicles and estate accommodations. Let it be known that the people of Arogbo Ibe are watching closely, and we will not remain silent if the Ministry of Environment becomes another avenue for political profiteering or sectional dominance.

“We urge you to carry out your duties with diligence, fairness, transparency, and with a deep sense of responsibility to the people — not as a beneficiary of power brokers, but as a servant of the public good.

“Let your office be a symbol of hope, not another transaction in a long chain of betrayal. This is our stand”.
