Zamfara Assembly sacks ZAROTA Commandant for alleged fraud

The Zamfara State House of Assembly sacked the Commandant General of Zamfara State Road Traffic Agency (ZAROTA) Muhammad Bello Musa (Kwata Kwata).

The speaker of the House of Assembly, Hon. Bilyaminu Isma’il Moriki announced the decision of the House today after a prolonged debate.

“Based on the investigation conducted by the House committee, they found that the allegations were true and the House unanimously agreed to sack Commandant General of ZAROTA Musa Kwata Kwata. The speaker said.

Hon. Bilyaminu Isma’il Moriki further stated that, the House used the mandate provided by the law that established the agency to sack the head of the state road traffic agency.

The House also directed the expelled head of the state road traffic agency Musa Kwata Kwata to immediately handover to the senior officer pending the appointment of the new Commandant by Governor Dauda Lawal.

The sacked commandant General of the Zamfara State road traffic agency (ZAROTA) was previously accused of diverting over ten million naira from the internally generated revenue of the traffic agency.
