Tinubu’s Minister Lauds SWUYN’s 10 Years of Empowering Unemployed youths

The Honourable Minister of Labour and Employment in Nigeria, Muhammad Maigari Dingyadi, has commended the Society for the Welfare of Unemployed Youths of Nigeria (SWUYN) for its decade-long commitment to youth empowerment. Dingyadi made this remark at the 10th Anniversary Celebration of SWUYN in Warri, Delta State.

The Minister highlighted the Federal Government’s efforts to address youth unemployment, including the Youth Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Program (YEEP), vocational training centers, and the National Electronic Labour Exchange (NELEX) platform. He emphasized the need for collaboration between government, private sector, and youth-led organizations to create sustainable employment opportunities.

Dingyadi urged young people to acquire digital skills, entrepreneurial thinking, and technological expertise to thrive in the evolving global economy. He commended SWUYN’s advocacy, mentorship, and community-based interventions, saying they have significantly complemented government efforts.

The Minister reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to promoting decent work, enhancing employability, and stimulating enterprise development. He congratulated SWUYN on its 10-year journey and encouraged the organization to continue its impactful work.

The event was themed “From Unemployment to Empowerment: Ten Years of Youth Power Transforming Nations,” highlighting the importance of empowering youths to drive national development.
