Delta Police Raid Drug Hideout, Arrest Three Female Suspects, Recover Canadian Loud, Codeine, Laughing Gas

The Delta State Police Command has intensified its clampdown on illicit drug trafficking and substance abuse with the arrest of three female suspects during a raid on a suspected drug hideout in Warri metropolis.
The operation, carried out by operatives of the Area Command, Effurun, followed credible intelligence on the activities of suspected drug dealers operating within the Ogbomoro and Ugolo communities.
According to a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, the covert operation was conducted on May 7, 2026, at about 9:20 p.m., leading to the arrest of a suspected drug baron identified as Favour Isaac, 25, alongside two alleged accomplices, Favour Felix, 24, and Samson Precious, 19.
Police operatives reportedly executed a search warrant at the suspects’ hideout located along River Road in Ogbomoro community, where several illicit substances and contraband items were recovered.
Items recovered during the operation included 21 bottles of CSC Codeine, two canisters containing Nitrous Oxide, commonly referred to as “laughing gas,” two packs of suspected psychoactive chewing gum branded as “Highness Gum,” and 640 grams of substances suspected to be Canadian Loud concealed in different bags and containers.
Preliminary investigations by the police revealed that a suspect identified as Rukewe Tega Isaac, who is currently at large, is believed to be the principal supplier linked to the drug distribution network.
The Command disclosed that efforts are ongoing to track down and arrest the fleeing suspect as well as other members of the syndicate.
Reacting to the development, the Commissioner of Police, Delta State Command, CP Yemi Oyeniyi, reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to sustaining aggressive operations against drug trafficking and other criminal activities across the state.
The Police Commissioner noted that the abuse and circulation of illicit drugs remain major contributors to violent crimes and social vices among youths, urging residents to continue supporting the police with credible and timely information that would aid crime-fighting efforts.
The suspects are expected to face further investigation and possible prosecution upon the conclusion of police inquiries.
