BREAKING: Mulade In Early Lead In Warri Federal Constituency NDC Primaries
By Osaro Michael, Benin
Dr. Sheriff Mulade, environmental activist and peace advocate, holds an early lead in the NDC primaries for Warri Federal Constituency ahead of 2027.
Preliminary results show Mulade with a landslide in Warri North and Warri South-West LGAs, putting him ahead of other aspirants for the House of Reps ticket.

But the Warri South collation is tense. Party members allege voter suppression and uncounted votes favoring Mulade’s supporters, triggering protests at some centers. Accused officials deny the claims.
Barrister Esimaje Awani is mounting a strong challenge in Warri South, making it a tight race there. Observers say Warri South’s outcome will likely decide the NDC ticket given its voting strength.
Collation continues amid calls for transparency. The NDC electoral committee has not released final results as of press time.
