Some suspected pensioners in Delta state have stormed Asaba, the state capital to protest over alleged fourteen years unpaid pension arrears and allowances.

The protest was held on Wednesday morning at about 9am, where the affected pensioners from various departments of the state government cried aloud for consideration.

The angry protesters, mostly women accused the Delta state governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa for deliberately suffering pensioners in the state of their entitlements.

A woman who spoke during the protest said it was about fourteen years now when they were left to suffer and die, adding that many pension staff have died in pursuing their pension arrears and allowances in the state.
