Again, EFCC Invites Delta Accountant-General Over Alleged Misappropriation

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has re-invited the embattled Delta State Accountant General Mrs. Joy Enwa and former Director of Finance & Administration (DFA) Government House who was arrested late last year and released on bail in connection with the ongoing investigations into the alleged diversion of N1.3 trillion by former governor of the State, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa.

Congress gathered that she was asked to report back to the Port Harcourt Zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) which is handling the case second week of January 2025.

It would be recalled that the Commission had earlier quizzed Dr Ifeanyi Okowa in November 2024 for the alleged diversion of the funds, said to be part of the 13 percent Derivation Fund but was later granted bail with his passports seized as part of the bail conditions.
