Armed Gunmen Kill Pastor In Kaduna Community

As the security in Nigeria derogate, it is another heartbreaking event as suspected armed gunmen killed a pastor of Tawaliu Baptist Church, simply identified as Rev. Jeremiah Mayau, Chikun Local government Area of Kaduna state.

According to report, the sad incident occurred on Wednesday, August 23, while the clergyman was working in his farm located at Kujama chikun.

The occurrence was affirmed on Thursday, August 24, by Rev. Joseph Hayab, the state chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria.

“The babaric incident happened on Wednesday afternoon while the Rev. Jeremiah was in his farm at prison farms kujama chikun LGA of Kaduna state. Rev. Joseph stated.

“Its sad that armed gunmen moved without challenge in broad day light to carey out their evil act” he added

Rev. Joseph lamented that even when living in a civilised society like ours where there’s constituted authority, the criminal elements in the society still operate freely.

He stressed that its painful that when eye brow was raised, such individuals were seen as a deviant that’s just looking for trouble while those in authorities habe otherwise failed to protect the citizens.
