Attack On FRSC Marshals On Duty No Longer Tolerated

The Federal Road Safety Corps has totally condemned unwarranted knocking down of its officers on the road while carrying out their duties would not be tolerated.

 

 

The Commandant of FRSC, Mr Yakubu Mohammad, stated this on Friday during the closing of a one-week training programme for Marshal Assistants at the FRSC Marshal Assistants School, Shendam, Plateau State.

 

Meanwhile, he said that the Officers would not tolerate the unprovoked assault of its corps while carrying out their duty on patrol.

 

“Motorists should circumvent traffic laws and also do well to cooperate with road marshals to prevent unprovoked attack while on their patrol duty or rescue operations as this will no longer be tolerated by the Marshals.

 

 

However, the commandant also admonished and charged the 415 Marshal Assistants to be very professional in their respective commands.

 

Mr Mohammad urged the FRSC road marshal assistants to make good use of the knowledge acquired during the training so as to act as a good ambassadors of the Corps.

 

The one-week long training was structured to equip the Road Marshal Assistants with the relevant skills and professionalism for their duties.

 

 

The commandant also expressed confidence that the one week training was provided to the participants with valuable knowledge on a rescue operations, enforcement, use of technology, discipline, integrity, inter-agency collaboration, and civility towards members of the public.

 

The 415 Road Marshal Assistants were drawn from across the Corps and they needed continuous training and retraining to align with realistic expectations

 

 

“Repositioning FRSC for Enhanced Service Delivery in Patrol and Rescue Operations is the specific focus of the course.

 

The one-week course which began on August 25 ended on Friday, August, 30, 2024.
