Biafra: I’ve never agreed with IPOB -Gov Umahi tells Buhari

The Governor of Ebony state Dave Umahi on his comment has said that he as never believed in the operation and method of the indigenous people of Biafra, IPOB.

Acccording to the Governor, he and other like minds warned that the South-East will get to this current security situation, which some people played politics with it.

He reiterated that the region is at “crossroads” which he called on the southern leaders to work towards finding a political solution in resolving some challenges and issues in the region.

Gov. Dave in a meeting on Friday, spoke with president Muhammadu Buhari and leaders of the South East region in Ebonyi State.

The President Muhammadu Buhari was in Ebonyi State on a two days working visit.

“ On this issue of a political solution, I have never believed in IPOB’s method of operation, which I disagree with them but we have gotten ourselves on this already”, he said.

“Note; Some of us warned that we will get to the situation but some were busy playing politics with it.

Which he pleaded, begged president Muhammadu Buhari, that we are at crossroads, I appeal to you for a political solution.

According to the Gov, “Surprisingly and graciously you granted it. Which you said that our people should initiate that and at the forefront is Nnamdi Kanu’s lawyer.”

Gov Dave Umahi, therefore, urged the president of Ohaneze Ndigbo to meet with elders statesman, Mr Mbazuluike Amaechi, with the Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), South East Traditional Rulers Council, Nnamdi Kanu’s lawyer and few others to initiate the political solution.
