The angry Ogbe-Ijoh youths under the auspices of Independent Grassroot Liberators (IGL) have lifted the campaign ban on DSP. Sen. It would be recalled that the angry Ogbe-Ijoh youths, the IGL, had issued a campaign ban on Sen.Ovie Omo-Agege in the community on Friday on what they described as some suspicious roles he played in Aladja/Ogbe-Ijoh renewed communal clash.

In a statement by Hon. Company Yerinbowei Felix, National Co-ordinator, Amb. Mamamu Bene Youkore, National President and Amb. Engr. Okosu Smart,
National Secretary which a copy was sent to Congress correspondent in Warri on Saturday said they had lifted the ban due to the swift intervention of High Chief Michael Jonny, APC leader, Chief Joel Onovwakpor Thomas (JOT), APC Delta South Senatorial Candidate, Chief Clement Tekedor, APC Delta state Assembly candidate, Warri South West Constituency and others.

Congress gathered there was an indoor meeting between the APC leaders, the party candidates and the Independent Grassroot Liberators (IGL) over the campaign ban yesterday.

The APC leaders appealed to the youths to lift their campaigns ban to avoid creating some suspicious impressions about the youths in the community.

The party leaders who okayed the demands of the angry youths promised to put in their best to meet with DSP to see how there would be permanent peace between Aladja and Ogbe-Ijoh communities.

According to the group, they had decided to sheathe the sword following the swift intervention of the APC leaders and now see the need to lift the campaign ban, adding that they would continue to remand them until the needful is done.

The statement read, “We have lifted the ban, DSP Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege is now free to come and campaign in Ogbe-Ijoh community, the headquarters of Warri South West LGA”.
