A nationwide strike called by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) has brought activities to a standstill at Murtala Muhammed Airport in Lagos and Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.

However, hundreds of passengers are unable to board their flights as aviation unions lock down domestic terminal entrances.

The strike, which began over a minimum wage dispute, may lead to widespread power outages, fuel shortages, and transportation disruptions, as essential services are halted.

The unions are demanding a minimum wage of over N400,000 per worker, and the strike is expected to continue until their demands are met.
