Breaking: Tank farm explodes in Delta

An oil storage facility belonging to Matrix Energy limited in Ifie near Ubeji, Warri South Local Government Area of Delta state has exploded into a massive fire.

The incident occurred on Friday evening at about 10:am when the tank farm burst into huge flames.

The incident had caused serious tension in Warri and its environs as motorists, tanker operators and residents scampered for safety.

Meantime, the cause of the fire explosion at the tank farm is still sketchy at press time.

However, efforts to reach out to the Delta police command’s spokesman, DSP Bright Edafe for comment proved abortive.
