Outrage as bandits set school ablaze, abduct headteacher

Suspected bandits have set ablaze Shuwari primary school in Buni-Yadi, the headquarters of Gujba local government area, Yobe State and also abducted the Head Teacher of the school.

It was learnt that the bandits stormed the town in the early hours of Friday and immediately set ablaze the primary school and the teachers’ quarters before kidnapping the head teacher.

Consequently, the details of the incident is yet unknown at the time of filling this report as authorities concerned are yet to make official statement.

Source said, the security had been beefed up in the area, immediate after the sudden attack.

According to the source, two Super Tuscan planes were seen hovering over Damaturu the Yobe capital on Friday.
