A young youth leader from the Ogulagha Kingdom, Comrade Anumu Believe JP has urged Burutu delegates and leaders to throw their support for Rt. Hon. Julius Pondi to continue as a member representing Burutu federal constituency in the Federal House of Representatives come 2023.

The statement which was signed by himself and made available at press time appealed to all Burutu delegates to return Rt. Hon. Pondi for robust representation come 2023.

According to him, Pondi is a highly goal-oriented and visionary politician, adding that Burutu is very fortunate to have him in this era of Nigerian politics, therefore, should be given massive support to bring Burutu to the frontline of Nigeria politics.

His words: “My very profound appeal goes to all Burutu delegates to return Hon. Pondi for robust representation come 2023.

“Honestly Burutu can’t afford to trade her very obvious chances of getting into the frontline of Nigerian politics by blindly succumbing to baseless and unrealistic claims of some political shenanigans.

“Hon. Julius G Pondi is a highly goal-oriented and visionary politician. Burutu is very fortunate to have him in this era of Nigerian politics, therefore, should be given massive support to bring Burutu to the frontline of Nigerian politics.

The statement reads partly, “Hon. Pondi is one finest leaders Burutu is fortunate to have whose antecedents reveal his selflessness, ability and readiness to bring development to every component of the Burutu council.

“Hon. Pondi has not only judiciously delivered constituency projects across Burutu in varying categories than any previous representative has done but he has also gone the extra mile of introducing bills that have gone through first and second readings not minding the huge financial involvement in lobbying a single bill to go through these stages.

“It should interest us to know that the huge finance involvements in introducing a single bill that prevented our previous reps, from even attempting to do same as Hon. Pondi has done and still doing, hence, the need to massively support a selfless leader such as the hon. Julius Pondi whose selfless leadership style no doubt is enabling him the access to have embraced with the ranks of the green chamber in the few years he’s been there, thereby making his chances of attaining either speakership or principal officer position very certain.

“Hon. Pondi, if given the chance again, no doubt will eventually become a principal officer in the green chamber if not the speakership or deputy speakership position by God’s grace, taken by his sagacious representation displayed in the floor of the green chambers.
Instead of the above, I wish to appeal to the good conscience of all well-meaning and progressives of the Burutu council to do everything possible to return to Pondi come 2023, to bring massive development to Burutu.

“Today we all know the reason the Delta central senatorial district is enjoying massive development within just 1 & half term which the 5term Delta south counterpart in the upper house can’t measure with, even with all the privileged benefits from NDDC.

“This is why selflessness of a leader should be a key factor to be considered while choosing our leaders.
I do not think one will still need further explanation to be informed on the clear fact that the unmatched development going on in Delta central senatorial district is an outburst of selflessness and the people friendly disposition of the senator coupled with the deputy senate president position he occupies.

“Therefore, we Burutuans must not joke with this chance of ranking into the Frontline politics that shall avail us the unprecedented development and robust representation that Burutu truly deserves, taking by her huge contribution to the Nigeria economy.

“Hon. Pondi in the time being has no doubt brought us light that needs sustenance and is enhanced to shine brighter.

“Bring Hon. Julius G. Pondi again 2023”, he added.
