Car wash boy nabbed for car theft in Delta

A suspected car wash boy has been arrested by the police in Okene in Kogi state over car theft on Sunday morning.

The incident occurred when a suspected car wash boy on Saturday stole a client Toyota Camry vehicle and escaped in Effurun GRA junction, Warri, Delta state.

According to a lawyer, Omes Ogedegbe: “This morning a client came to my house knocking at about 6am and told me his son took his white Toyota Camry 013 model to a car wash located inside the Conoil petrol station by the Effurun GRA junction Along the NPA expressway close to the roundabout.

He further narrated:”Hours later when he returned back to pick up the car the car wash boy and the car were no where to be found till this moment.
I immediately contacted the DPO Ebrumede, Effurun Uvwie local government area of Delta state who directed we send the tracking details which we actually did.

“The car was tracked and stopped but behold the vehicle was already at Okene heading to the North.
The super and proactive DPO contacted the king and police over there and they arrested one of the persons at the scene while his criminal partner escaped.

“The picture was sent to us and he was the same car wash boy the car was handed over to. They are presently in police custody over there in Okene.
This is the police I will be happy to see earn our tax payers money”.
