Breaking: 17 passengers allegedly abducted in Delta
• Police deny knowledge
No fewer than 17 passengers have been allegedly abducted from a commercial bus along Ewreni expressway in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta state.
The incident occurred in Saturday’s night when a commercial bus conveying about 17 passengers was attacked by unknown gunmen in Ewreni expressway.
A chief in the community confirmed the incident, adding that the abductors could be communal militas youths in the area.
He added that no contact has been made by the abductors since yesterday night.
When contacted, the Delta State PPRO, DSP Bright Edafe said he is not aware about the incident, adding that families of the victims should report to the police in the area.
