As part of the Christmas celebrations, General Christopher Musa, the Chief of Defence Staff, gathered with wounded personnel in Sokoto on Tuesday and inspired troops to engage in more activities.

In the spirit of the holidays, Musa called on Nigerians to band together against the country’s enemies and support the Armed Forces of Nigeria.

He was in Sokoto to interact and form relationships with injured soldiers and other individuals carrying out their tasks in various operational domains within the region.

He claimed that because it was a happy and festive time, the Nigerian Army decided it was appropriate to rejoice with all ranks of personnel and offer prayers for those who had made the ultimate sacrifice.

Along with thanking the military and Nigerians for their everlasting dedication, he said that all uniformed heroes should be honoured for their sacrifices made in defence of their country.

“I encourage you to face the challenges with unity and courage, your bravery will not go unnoticed, and we commit to continuous support.

“May the festive spirit bind us as one, and the warmth of shared destiny resonate beyond this season,” he said.
