I’m always chasing Udom Emmanuel for advice– Akwa Ibom Governor confesses

Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno has promised to always seek the advice of his predecessor, Udom Emmanuel.

Eno claimed that Emmanuel, the guy who nominated him as his successor, and he had no political differences.

He gave a speech during this year’s Special Christmas Day celebration, which was held at the state’s Onna Local Government Area’s United Evangelical Church (UEC), Awa Iman.

Eno claims, “Since taking office in May, my predecessor has never put me under pressure. Conversely, we are the ones who are pursuing him to request that he see us frequently to offer advice.

“I tell people that even when you are not in government, you are still working for this state. In eight years, you (Udom Emmanuel) taught us leadership, and you developed all of us. We have learnt from you, especially the lesson of tolerance.

“You may no longer be governor today, but you will always be my governor and leader. You have a clear understanding of how these things work and I will always be your student.”
