Defence Minister Assures Regional Security Cooperation to Defeat Terrorism

The Minister of Defence, Christopher Gwabin Musa has reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment to regional cooperation and security, emphasising the importance of sustained synergy in degrading terrorist networks and stabilising the Lake Chad Basin.

The minister stated this during the just concluded meeting of Ministers of Defence Troops Contributing Countries of the Multinational Joint Task Force under the Lake Chad Basin Commission, in N’Djamena, Republic of Chad

The meeting brought together Defence Ministers and representatives from member states including Chad, Cameron and Nigeria involved in regional security operations and to review ongoing operations, strengthen collective efforts in addressing terrorism and cross- border threats in the Lake Chad Basin.
