Delta 2023: Niger Delta activists, media gurus spotted in Oporoza

Following the clamour for Delta Ijaw governorship, some powerful and notable Niger Delta activists and media gurus were sighted in Oporoza community, Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State on Sunday.
It was learnt Oporoza community is the current headquarters of Niger Delta emancipation struggle.
Some of the notable activists and media gurus spotted in Oporoza community were Comrade Ezekiel Daniel, alias Aluta SSA, Comr Austin Ozobo, a.k.a king of the dragons, Hon. Prince Peres Bibaikefie, a political juggernaut, aspiring for Delta State House of Assembly, Mr. Oyinbi Onduku , C.E.O Niger Delta mirror online news, Comr Issac Robert, a.k.a pen warrior, Mr. Timi Black, chief correspondent Congress newspaper and others.
However, the leaders of the visit could not disclose the purpose of the visit as they declined comments when interviewed shortly after their meeting with High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, the Izon-Ibidouwei of Niger Delta.
It was gathered the visit was unconnected with the Delta State governorship race. However, the indoor meeting lasted for an hour or more as coverage was not allowed.
But a source familiar with the visit said it was connected with 2023 Ijaw governorship, adding that the Ijaw notable men were in Oporoza to press for Ijaw governorship come 2023.
The source who does not want his name in print said: “Let it be known to Ijaws wherever you are across the globe that by the grace of God , the OSUSU of the Delta Governorship race may veered to Ijaw come 2023.”
He went further: ” l strongly believe that we the Ijaws having served and supported other ethnic groups in the state to become number one citizens. Now we believe it is Ijaw’s turn to rule the state.”
