Foremost Niger Delta activist and Special Assistant to the governor of Delta state has appealed to his boss, senator Ifeanyi Okowa to increase funding of Ayakoromo bridge project.

This was made available to Congress correspondent in Warri on Tuesday morning.

According to him, the Ayakoromo bridge project is a capital project that when completed will link Bomadi, Burutu and Ughelli South Local Government Areas in the state.

Ozobo said, “we are aware of the current economic challenges in the state but it is our appeal that you prioritize and increase funding of Ayakoromo bridge project.

“It would not be okay that your predecessor abandoned the project, and your administration can’t do justice to it.

“We have reiterated the importance of the bridge project over and over. Burutu people deserve to host such a legacy project. We are economical viable. Burutu and other rural areas will be a business hub when this bridge project is completed.

“It is our appeal that you expedite commitment to complete the Ayakoromo bridge project before you leave office by 2023.” he added.
