Leaders, women and youths of Ugboroke community in Uvwie local government area of Delta state have stormed BEDC office in Warri to protest over two months total blackout in power supply.

The protesters who invaded the BEDC office in Warri on Tuesday demanded for urgent restoration of power in the area.

The aggrieved protesters appealed to BEDC officials not to take life out of them, saying light is life.

According to them,”Please don’t take life away from us. We need our light restored. We might declare a total showdown with your company”.

The protesters said the power outage was affecting both residents and traders in the community.

The BEDC officials while responding, assured the community to restored power, adding that there were some fault in the power facilities in the area but would make urgent efforts to restore light in the community.
