Delta Governor congratulates Diri on second term inauguration

Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has congratulated his Bayelsa counterpart, Senator Douye Diri and his Deputy, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpor, on their inauguration for second term on Wednesday.


Oborevwori in a statement made available to Journalists in Asaba on Wednesday, said that Diri’s emergence for second term in office is an history.


He commended Diri for his sustainable vision for Bayelsans which, according to him, would produce the necessary growth and the needed development in the state.


Oborevwori also noted that, it was an “overwhelming victory cum peaceful conducted election. He spurred Governor Diri to do more for Bayelsans who entrusted him with this resounding mandate.


He applauded Diri for his message of unity and commitment in transparency and accountability in governance.


“On behalf of the government and people of Delta, I congratulate Governor Douye Diri and his highly esteemed Deputy, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpor, on your inauguration for your second term in office.


“The Bayelsa Governorship election of November 11, 2023 is a testiment of your unwavering patriotic fronts to resolving all economic predicament and puting the interest of the people of Bayalsa as best aspiration.


“I am impressed and encouraged by your clamour for a united Bayelsa going into your second term in office. The call is germane because no nation can grow under it broken fit.


“I am quite convinced that your re-election and assumption of office for a second term will pave the way for you to do more for the people of Bayelsa in appreciation of their massive support for you.”
