Delta Police Nab 2 Suspected Armed Robbers, Rescue 4 Kidnap Victims

The men of Nigeria police, Delta State command has apprehended two suspected armed robbers, and rescued four kidnapped victims.

The victims who were all residents of Orerokpe were kidnapped while on transit along Abraka Eku expressway by Orerokpe Bridge, Okpa Local Government Area.

According to a release signed by DSP Edafe Bright, Delta public relations officer, stated that the four kidnapped victims were rescued on 12th September, 2023.

It was stated that the kidnappers were demanding 100 million naira ransom.

Following the incident, the DPO Orerokpe Division CSP Paul Oboware led his team of policemen with the support of troops of the Nigerian Army and members of Orerokpe community vigilantes, trailed the kidnappers into the adjourning bushes and rescue the victims.

In a related development, the police officers nabbed one 35 year old suspected armed robber during stop and search operation at Aragba junction along Sapele.

It was reported that the suspected was in possession of four new locally made cut to size guns.

Investigation revealed that the suspect deals in gun running and his accomplices know as Ose Ogboyen sent him to deliver the arms to a client known as saputu.

However, CP Wale Abadd assured residents that the command won’t relent in doing all it takes to protect the lives and properties of the populace in the state.
