The youths of Delta State under the auspices of the Coalition of Delta Indigenous Youth Leaders Forum on Sunday congratulated the Managing Director/CEO of NDDC, Chief (Dr) Samuel Ogbuku.

According to a statement signed by the Chairman, Comrade Gometi O Crested, one of the giant strides of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu is the careful selection of appointees compared to previous governments, adding that his appointments so far are quite intelligent and democratic.

The statement reads, “The appointment of Chief (Dr) Samuel Ogbuku as NDDC Managing Director gladdens the hearts of citizens of the Niger Delta region. It’s one of the selections that has gone down well in the minds of the citizens irrespective of state, political parties as well as ethical nationalities in the Niger Delta region.

“There’s nothing good as appointing a man of integrity, high moral standard and a grassroots leader to represent his people especially now that the world is crying for leaders with positive track records to ensure positive representation, especially in a sensitive Commission as NDDC.

“We use this opportunity to thank His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for retaining him as the MD of this Commission counting on the intelligent and accurate appointment of the immediate past administration which was based on his Credibility and experience.

“The appointment brings great joy to the Niger Delta Region, especially the Youth of Delta State. We are so glad to have his kind as the MD of this great Commission because it boosts our confidence and assurance of a more results-oriented administration in the Commission, and we would do everything within our capacity to support this administration, especially in the areas of peace and security across the region.

“One of our main objectives is to objectively engage the youths towards achieving a peaceful and crime-free society to redeem the bad image outsiders placed on the Niger Delta Youths by securing an enabling environment for rapid economic growth and stability in the Niger Delta Region.

“Therefore, we assure this administration our full support to enhance the smooth achievement of its transformation agenda.
We also salute members of the House of Representatives for the successful screening exercise.

“We use this opportunity to seek maximum cooperation and support of all relevant Stakeholders across the Niger Delta region as we can never have gotten it better than the current leaders in the Commission.

“Congratulations to all Niger Delta region citizens and Chief (Dr) Samuel Ogbuku for the well-deserved reappointment,” the group maintained.
