NDDC New Board: Delta Youth Leaders Celebrate Chiedu Ebie On Chairman Appointment

Following the inauguration of the new board of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Delta State youth leaders, under the Coalition of Delta Indigenous Youth Leaders Forum have congratulated
Mr. Chiedu Ebie for the appointment and successful screening by the national assembly as Chairman of the Commission in the penultimate week.

The apex Delta youths’ Chairman, Comrade Gometi O Crested, in a statement filed on Sunday, said one of the giant strides of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu’s administration is the choice of appointees made so far compared to previous governments, noting that his appointments so far are quite intelligent and democratic.

According to the press release, “The appointment of Mr Chiedu Ebie from Delta State as Chairman of the Commission gladdens the hearts of citizens of the Niger Delta region, Deltans in particular. This is one of the choices of appointments that has gone down well in the minds of the citizens irrespective of state, political parties as well as ethnic nationalities in the Niger Delta region.

“There’s nothing good as appointing a man of integrity, high moral standard and a grassroots leader to represent his people especially now that the world is crying for leaders with a positive track record to ensure positive representation, especially in a sensitive Commission as NDDC.”

The statement further reads, “The appointment brings great joy to the Niger Delta Region, especially the Youth of Delta State. We are so glad to have Mr Ebie as the chairman of this great Commission because it boosts our confidence and assurance of a more results-oriented administration in the Commission, and we would do everything within our capacity to support this administration, especially in the areas of peace and security across the region.

“One of our main objectives is to objectively engage the youths towards achieving a peaceful and crime-free society to redeem the bad image outsiders placed on the Niger Delta Youths by securing an enabling environment for rapid economic growth and stability in the Niger Delta Region.

“Therefore, we assure this administration our full support to enhance the smooth achievement of its transformation agenda.
We also salute members of the national assembly for the successful screening exercise.

“We use this opportunity to seek maximum cooperation and support of all relevant Stakeholders across the Niger Delta region as we can never have gotten it better than the current leaders in the Commission.
