Edo LG Poll: EYPF Congratulates Perewari on victory as vice chairman

The Egbema Youth Political Forum (EYPF) has congratulated Hon. Blessing Perewari on her election victory as vice chairman of Ovia-South West Local Government Area of Edo State.

This is according to a statement signed by its Chairman, EBIGBAGHA BAIDI ESQ, COMRADE KARINA YOROKI, SECRETARY, EJEMI EBITERIGHA ESQ, SPOKESMAN ON TUESDAY.

The statement reads, “It is our honour and privilege to congratulate you on your election and subsequent victory as the Vice Chairman of Ovia South West Local Government Area of Edo State.

“We salute your ability to successfully comport and maintain a truly free and fair election within the Local Government which is of great importance as it remains very sacrosanct to securing a healthy democracy.

“Your election to this exalted position is a confirmation of the trust and confidence the people have in your capabilities to lead.

“The Egbema Youth Political Forum which aim and objective is to see that the sons and daughters of Egbema kingdom are well positioned in the political realm are assuring you of their commitment to continuously support and work together with you for the betterment of the kingdom as well as the whole Local Government Area.

“Vice Chairman, your office is a litmus test as the entire communities of the Local Government will be looking up to you as a mother and a bridge builder to exhibit exemplary leadership to the benefit of all.

“Leadership entails reaching out to as many as possible; consulting wide and far before taking decisions that will impact on the lives of the citizenry.

“We are aware of the challenges surrounding your office, at the same time, we also understand the powers given to you constitutionally by the office. Therefore, we want to ask that you remember the Egbema Kingdom whilst exercising your duties.

“We pray that the God Almighty will grant you wisdom, knowledge and the strength to carry on with the numerous tasks of setting straight the building blocks of our local government, so as to ensure that the dividends of democracy transcends to all the communities. May God strengthen and guide you as you take the rightful decisions while assisting the Honourable Chairman to ensure that “we do not look back to Egypt”
