The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has launched an electronic learning management studio at its Academy in Karu, Abuja, to enhance the intellectual strength of its workforce and promote distance learning. The studio was launched by EFCC Executive Chairman, Mr. Ola Olukoyede, during the 6th Annual General Meeting of the Network of National Anti-Corruption Institutions of West Africa (NACIWA).
Olukoyede emphasized the importance of technology in the fight against corruption, stating that the studio will add value to staff productivity and help develop capacity. He noted that the EFCC will continue to employ technology-driven facilities to fight economic and financial crimes.
Commandant of the EFCC Academy, Mrs. Chinwe Ndubeze, explained that the studio is part of the Academy’s capacity-building mandate for EFCC staff and other law enforcement agencies. She highlighted the importance of digital education in the modern era.
Head of the External Corporation Unit of the EFCC, Aliyu Abubakar Wali, stated that the studio will open doors to endless possibilities for growth, learning, and innovation for EFCC officers, Nigerians, and other stakeholders.
The launch was attended by anti-corruption experts from West Africa, including members of NACIWA, ICPC, MacArthur Foundation, ECOWAS, and USAID. The studio’s commissioning was followed by a physical inspection of the property donated by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to NACIWA.
