Ex-Super Eagles Striker Dies at 40 After Collapsing During Match in Kaduna

Former Super Eagles striker Michael Eneramo has died at the age of 40 after collapsing during a football match in Kaduna State.
The incident occurred at the Angwan Yelwa pitch in the Television area of Kaduna, where the former international was playing. He came on as a substitute in the second half before suddenly collapsing without any contact.
According to sources, “He slumped and died right on the spot. Efforts to revive him were unsuccessful. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.”
Eneramo, who had retired from professional football, previously featured for clubs including Beşiktaş, Espérance de Tunis, and Lobi Stars.
Before his death, he was reportedly running a football academy. Meanwhile, the official Super Eagles X handle mourned him, sharing his photo with the caption, “Rest in peace Michael.”
