Flood abridges Amassoma road in Bayelsa

Motorists and commuters have been stranded since Friday as the deadly flood cut the Yenagoa-Amassoma main road into two.

The incident has reportedly caused pandemonium as the road served as the major road connecting the university town and the state capital.

It was learnt that the flood had overwhelmed the entire Bayelsa State including the state capital.

Sources said the residents of Amassoma had been trapped being the only linked road to escape from the ravaging flood.

Congress newspaper was told by community sources that the entire Amassoma community had drowned in the heavy flooding in the state.
