Gov Oborewori Receives Award-Winning Delta DPO, Shaba

Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, Received Award-Winning DPO Ekpan Police Station in his office at Asaba, the state headquarters.

On Wednesday, May 22, 2024, Commissioner of Police Delta State, CP Abaniwonda Olufemi, presented CSP Aliyu Shaba, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ekpan Police Station, to Governor Oborevwori. CSP Shaba recently received the prestigious DPO of the Year and Police Officer of the Year awards at the inaugural Nigeria Police Award and Commendation ceremony held in Abuja on April 15, 2024.

The Commissioner of Police highlighted the significance of presenting the award-winning DPO to the Governor, acknowledging the crucial support of the State Government and citizens in achieving this success. Oborevwori congratulated CSP Shaba on his remarkable achievement, emphasising that hard work always yields rewards.

The Governor noted that Ekpan was once a challenging area for law enforcement, but since CSP Shaba’s posting, the region has experienced restored sanity, and residents can now feel secure. He encouraged other officers to emulate CSP Shaba’s dedication and commitment to duty. Additionally, Governor Oborevwori expressed gratitude to the Commissioner of Police for supporting CSP Shaba and other officers, enabling them to excel in their roles.

To motivate CSP Shaba further, the Governor presented him with a cash gift, encouraging him to continue his outstanding work, as “the reward for hard work is more work.”, Oborewori added.
