Gov Okpebholo Sacks All Appointees, Relief Board Members

Governor Okpebholo on Wednesday has authorised the sack of the executive boards, agencies, and parastatals in the state’s civil service, with immediate effect.

 

According to a press statement issued and signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Fred Itua, said the governor had mandated all affected political appointees to return all government properties and documents in their possession to the most senior public officer in their respective ministries, departments, and agencies.

 

 

The statement read, “the Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has authorized to dissolve executives of all boards, agencies, and parastatals in the Edo State Public Service, with immediate effect.

 

“In addition, all permanent secretaries appointed from outside the state public/civil servants and all political appointees are hereby to abdicate their appointments.
