Gunmen abduct 3 missionaries in Kogi

The Kogi State Police Command has said three missionaries working with the Kogi State Child Evangelism Fellowship, CEF, were kidnapped by gunmen on Friday.

It was learnt the incident took place at Ejule in Ofu Local Government Area of the state while they were on a ministerial assignment to the area.

The Police Public Relations Officer, SP William Aya confirmed the incident to newsmen in Lokoja on Monday.

The police spokesman assured members of the public that the police are working round the clock to rescue the victims.

The Kogi State Coordinator of Children Evangelism Ministry (CEM), Evangelist Charles Esho had earlier told newsmen that the three missionaries; were Evangelist Peter Adigidzi, Pastor Mike Baba, and Pastor Sunday Abah who resides in Lokoja were kidnapped on Friday the 10th of June 2022.

The clergy called for prayers for their safety and divine rescue of the victims within the shortest possible period.
