Congress learned that the deceased and friends had contributed money to buy the cow to kill and share it among themselves which they normally did every year.

A source said the youth leader was killed when the cow overpowered the two butchers hired to kill it. The incident occurred at the deceased’s residence where the sharing was to take place.

The report said the two butchers hired to kill the cow were overpowered, while they were attempting to curtail it, the cow ran and kick the owner and he landed in a coma.

According to the source, Igodo who was inside the house had come out but was receiving a phone call and was not paying attention to the drama between the two butchers and the cow.

The cow suddenly kicked him so hard that he landed his back on the steps of his house entrance and broke his spine.

He was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Yenagoa but later referred to the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital, Rivers State where he eventually died.

The source further lamented that his death had caused serious pandemonium in the community, disrupting the Christmas celebrations in the community.
