The minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has warned contractors of various projects in the FCT that he will not accept anything below standard.

Wike made the warning during a meeting with the contractors on Tuesday, August 29.

He said that if any staff of the contractors may have been compromised in standard, they should sort it out within themselves as he would not accept anything below average from them.

The minister said that the major problem in the country is the lack of supervision and that he is determined to make sure that every contractor goes back to the site with direct supervision from his office and the office of the minister of state.

Wike explained that contractors must go back to the site because the FCT administration is restructuring how projects are funded.

He said that the FCT will no longer rely solely on the national budget for funding, but will also use internally generated revenue.
