IGL disowns Ogbe-Ijoh youth president over comment, describes him as betrayer

The Independent grassroots liberators(IGL) has outrightly condemned what they described as a derogatory statement made by the Ogbe-Ijoh youth president Mr Ebimobowei Kenneth Ikoro against the body on Saturday.

It would be recalled that on Friday, IGL had issued a campaign ban on DSP Ovie Omo-Agege in Ogbe-Ijoh community over alleged complicity in Ogbe-Ijoh/Aladja renewed communal clash.

However, the Ogbe-Ijoh youth president, Ikoro had earlier condemned the action of the group, threatening a disciplinary action on IGL members.

But the IGL had disowned the Ogbe-Ijoh youth president , adding that he is speaking for himself and his pay masters, describing his statement as barbaric, derogatory, unguided, malicious, treacherous, mischievous and defamatory.

They further noted that Ikoro was neither a principal member, nor a founding member, stating that he misfired, and had failed the Ogbe-Ijoh youths.

been drawn to one unguided publication issued by Ebimobowei Kenneth Ikoro, on behalf of himself & his pay masters.

“Ordinarily, we ought not to respond to such unguided, shameful and treacherous statements of a serving Youth president of Ogbe-Ijoh Kingdom whose responsibility was to employ internal mechanism to resolve issues but we decided to respond for the sake of clarity and to set the record straight”.

The group further stated: “IGL is a registered politics oriented body that was found early this year 2022 with over One Thousand voters card carriers, across the Ogbe-Ijoh community, political units and wards from different parties to condemn, commend & support all communal and political activities of our land.

But Ebimobowei Kenneth Ikoro is not among the founding members, he only came to beg for inclusion as the youth president and we considered him to be member of IGL & not the way he claims, because he was just a baby member out of One Thousand and Twelve People.

“We totally condemn the action of Ebimobowei Kenneth Ikoro and his advisers and that a general youths President ought to plan a central role of every reasonable kingdom, mostly internal matters like this and not to be control by pay masters to give unguided statements.

“Though, IGL Leadership is already aware & properly informed of the use of logical words to provoke us to stand on our ground to disrupt the visit of our revered Sen. Omo-Agege to Ogbe-Ijoh but to God be the glory, the WSW APC leadership Led by High Chief Michael Johnny and others have already resolved the
issues, and promised to look into the demands of IGL”, the group asserted.
