A group of intellectuals under the Ijaw Publishers Forum, IPF, has felicitated His Excellency Barr Kingsley Burutu Otuaro on his birth anniversary.

This was contained in a birthday message signed by Comrade Ozobo Austin, acting Chairman, Comrade Tare Magbei, acting secretary, Comr Freedom Abraye, PRO, and Mr Cletus Opukeme’s adviser.

The statement said: “As publishers under the umbrella of Ijaw Publishers Forum, IPF, we wish to felicitate you for your well-deserved birth anniversary.

“As the first deputy governor of the Ijaws in Delta State, you have done appreciably well to raise the bars of the political misfortunes of Ijaws in Delta state.

“Again, the birth anniversary is a time of reflecting on your time of transfiguration and transformation from the unseen world to a place called earth. It is a time of celebrating God’s goodness in your life. Equally, a time to reflect on your services to mankind.

“Indeed, your priceless leadership prowess has spurred Delta Ijaws to stand tall in the political space. Areas that do not have Government presence now have it.

“We are also aware that you have touched lives positively across the length and breadth of the Niger Delta region in your few time in government.

“You are an epitome of peace, at a time peace eluded Niger Delta and Nigeria in particular but you were used by God to return peace to the region, kudos to such a giant stride.

“We are also believing that God will still use you to restore peace between Aladja and Ogbe-Ijoh warring communities in Delta state.

“Having been deputy governor of our dear state, you are extremely God-fearing, humble and hardworking. These are distinguishing features that distinguish you from your contemporaries.

“You are a proud son of the Ijaw nation. Ijaws are proud of you. Our prayers are always to continue to stand tall in all your endeavours.

“We pray for God’s divine health, more political victories and more fruitful years in Jesus’ name, Amen.”
