The Northern Christian Association in Kaduna State Nigeria has damned the Federal Government on what they described as the insincerity and complicity of the government in tackling security issues in Northern Nigeria, following the frequent attacks on communities and prevalent levels of killings of law-abiding citizens in the country by Islamic sect.

The chairman of the Northern Christian Association Mr Garba Asandu disclosed this to the Press on Wednesday, lamenting the continuous killings and demolishment of Properties by bandits, armed herdsmen and other terrorists in the country.

“Current happenings in our great country, Nigeria has forced us to come out with words of sympathy, empathy, encouragement, advice, and caution as elders and leaders in our communities.

”The high rate of insecurity in our country and particularly Kaduna State is very condemnable by all right-thinking people in a civilized twenty-first century country like ours.

“The rampant cases of community attacks, kidnapping, bombing, raping, among others with great impunity is making us feel there is no government or those in government do not know what to do or are just incapable of discharging their responsibilities to their fatherland.”

The statement further queried, ‘Whatever they claim to be doing is not good enough and it is not acceptable to our people since these bandits can bomb or attack our Airports, Railways, Trains, Barracks, Roads, Villages, Towns or Cities without much ado.”

The statement urged the federal government (FG) and security agents in Kaduna state and in Nigeria at large to ensure the eradication of bandits, armed herdsmen and other terrorists who make life unbearable for Christian and other law-abiding citizens in the federation.

The Northern Christian Association in Kaduna state, that besought God Almighty to cure victims being wounded and expose criminals and their agents involved in such malevolent acts.

Also the governor of Kaduna State, His Excellency Nasiru El-Rufai took bold steps to apologize to the victims of the condemnable act and accept the failure of the government to provide security for its citizens.

The governor of Kaduna State promised the association that, he would ensure that Nigeria Security would get the bandits apprehended.
