•Says he is fanning discord in Warri

The Ijaw People’s Development Initiative, IPDI, has frowned at the visit of the Olu, His Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III to the Bulouama community in Ogbe-Ijoh Warri kingdom in Warri South LGA, a host community to Nigeria Ports Authority (NPA) without notifying Ijaws or rather HRM Pere Couple Oromoni who is overseeing the land.

The group cautioned the Itsekiri monarch not to visit any Ijaw land without noticing them, adding that he would only be welcomed to Ijaw land upon prior notice and permission.

Recall, the Itsekiri monarch Olu,
His Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III, visited the NPA Ijaw community where fire engulfed several houses and destroyed properties worth millions of Naira to assess the level of damage and also sympathized with some victims in the penultimate week.

According to the group, Ijaw would not allow Olu visit to Ijaw land without any notice following alleged statements he made during his installation/coronation, which was contained in a viral video declaring his intentions to reclaim all lands in Warri and its environs which he alleged to have owned, but occupied by others without putting up a fight.

A statement signed by its National secretary Comrade Emmanuel Keneware said the visit would have been a good one if the due process were followed, narrating that his(Olu) visit is suspicious following his previous inimical and war inciting statements.

They further said, “It is wrong for a monarch to visit the territory of another monarch without informing him, a governor can’t visit another state without notifying the governor of that state, except there is something fishy.

“This kind of visit is capable of inciting discord in Warri again because it is provocative, barbaric and inimical.

“He should be called to order to avoid bad blood between Itsekiri and Ijaws in the state,” IPDI added.
