IPF holds talks with Ijaw commissioner, HRM Oporomor ahead of media conference

The Ijaw Publishers’ Forum, IPF has commenced visitation to leaders and critical stakeholders of the Ijaw nation ahead of the Ijaw media conference December 11, 2024.

This was contained in a statement filed by the group and forwarded to news men on Friday.

Speaking during a familiarisation visit to the Honourable Commissioner for Ijaw Affairs, Bayelsa State, HRM (Barr.) Godspower Oporomor, the Pere of Kerebiri Mein-Kingdom and OON, the group said the visit was necessary following his key roles in advancing the Ijaw nation.

The delegation which was led by the vice President of the group, Mr Oyinbi Onduku, however congratulated the new commissioner on his well deserved appointment, adding that his support is needed in making the programme a success.

In response, the Ijaw commissioner advised the Ijaw Publishers’ to be impartial in their information dissemination, adding that he was pleased that the body came to identify with him and that the government of the state will be adequately represented at the conference.
