IPF Holds Talks With Traditional Prime Minister Of Kabowei Kingdom Ahead Of Conference

As part of the stakeholders engagement ahead of the Ijaw Media Conference/Annual Dialogue 2024, the Ijaw Publishers’ Forum, IPF has paid a courtesy call at the High Chief Collins Cocodia SA Political to Governor Diri and
Traditional Prime Minister of Kabowei Kingdom at his office in Yenagoa on Tuesday.

The first Ijaw media conference is scheduled to be held on December 11, 2024, in Bayelsa State. The traditional prime minister commended the IPF’s resilience in telling the Ijaw story in a most acceptable manner, citing that many at times most things people write about the Ijaw people are not true.

Speaking further, he said providing a body to direct and coordinate Ijaw media practitioners to foster more significant Ijaw presence in the media industry is most commendable.

He however, pledged support and participation in the groundbreaking event on December 11, 2024.

The programme Tagged “Advancing the Quest for Economic/Political Freedom in a Siege Nation,” aimed at bringing together leaders and stakeholders to explore innovative solutions for the Ijaw nation and Niger Delta’s economic growth. The event promised to foster economic discourse and empower indigenous media professionals.

The IPF delegation was led by its Central Working Committee, CWC, chairman, Comrade Ozobo Austin, and others such as MMD Tamsokunbiri CEO of Kpakam Tv, committee member, Mr Sunday Ayemofaye, CEO, Ogulagha Vanguard/Committee Secretary and Mr Benjamin Tamaradoubra, CEO, Ijaw Heritage Tv, committee member.

The team also felicitated the Prime minister on his well deserved appointment, as the senior political Adviser to the governor of Bayelsa.
