Itsekiri prominent Chief, Ikomi, is dead

A foremost Itsekiri leader in Delta State, Chief Dr Charles Ikomi is dead.

This was stated by his younger brother and secretary to Warri Council of Chiefs, Chief Eugene Ikomi, on his Facebook page on Thursday afternoon.

According to him, ‘so I lost my mentor, Chief Dr. C.D Ikomi. We were in trenches together for the good of our Nation. He fought a good fight. Rest on brother.
Really painful.”

Chief Ikomi was the Ero of Warri kingdom and patriarch of the Ikomi family when he was alive.

He hails from Ugbege community in Warri North Local Government Area.

The family is yet to come up with official statement about his death.
