IYC Zonal Election: Olu-Derimo Visits Ozobo, Optimistic Of Victory

A leading chairmanship aspirant for the Ijaw Youth Council, IYC, Western zone, Comrade Olu Derimo Omaghomi has consulted a foremost Niger Delta rights activist, and the president of Ijaw Publishers’ Forum, IPF to seek support and blessings.

Congress gathered that Derimo, who is a strong voice in the liberation of Edo Ijaws is the outgoing secretary of the IYC Western zone.

Speaking during the visit at BB hotel, Olu-Derimo commended Ozobo’s commitment and dedication in the advocacy of the Emancipation of Niger Delta region, adding that Ijaw nation is behind him and that he was not forsaken.

Derimo further unveiled his blueprint, stating that he would transform things, influence projects and advance the Ijaw struggle in the Western when elected.

He used the medium to call on leaders and stakeholders of Western to consider the Olodiama Clan for the position of the next IYC Western zone chairman, adding that the Clan is yet to produce the zone IYC chairman since formation of the IYC.

Ozobo, however urged Olu-Derimo to go round other critical stakeholders and leaders of IYC in Western zone to seek for support and blessings.

He prayed for him to succeed while he goes about his electioneering campaigns.
