JAMB Remits N2b Surplus For Government in 2023

For the first quarter of 2023, the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board ( JAMB ) said it has again remitted N2 billion as the interim surplus for the 2023 operating year.

The body that sees the entering of higher institutions of students in Nigeria stated that it would remit more as its operations for the year were completed.

According to Dr. Fabian Benjamin, the board’s Public Affairs and Protocol, he asserted during the management committee meeting that, the development was in furtherance of the pledge by the Board Registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede led administration.

He stated that on the assumption of office of duty, the pledge is to manage the affairs of the board and to leverage technology and discipline.

It was reported that since Prof. Oloyede assume office, he had remitted over N55 billion to the Federal Government coffers.

The development is observed to be more than N60 million remitted by the board in the last 38 years of its existence before the appointment of Prof. Oloyede.
