Jubilation as Oborevwori approves payment of promotion arrears

The Governor of Delta State, Elder Sheriff Oborevwori, has approved the payment of outstanding arrears to the dedicated staff of the State Public Service, commencing from August 2023.

This was disclosed through a circular signed by the Head of Service, Mr Reginald Bayoko on Thursday.

Bayoko stated that the phased payment would commence in August 2023, starting with Civil Servants in the Ministries.

This would be followed by staff in the Judiciary, Parastatals, and Hospitals Management Board and HMB, which would receive their payments in September 2023.

He said this was part of the commitment of governor Oborevwori to pay all pending promotion arrears owed public servants in the state which is a promise made during the campaign.
