JUST IN:  EFCC files 17-count charge against Okorocha

The Economic And Financial Crime Commission, EFCC, has arraigned the former governor of Imo State, senator Rochas Okorocha in court for alleged fraud trial.

The ex-governor of Imo State was at the Federal High Court in Abuja for arraignment on charges of money laundering and related offences filed against him by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC).

Congress gathered from a source who pleaded on the condition of anonymity that Okorocha was forcefully arrested in Abuja at his resident last Tuesday.

The serving senator who is also vying for the position of the presidency in the federation under the All Progressives Congress (APC) was said to allegedly fail to honour the Economic and Financial Crime Commission’s ( EFCC) invitation.

The source also maintained that EFCC had filed 17-count charge against him, adding that the presidential aspirant was expected to be arraigned before Justice Inyang Ekwo today May 31.
