Suspected gunmen in a number of four kidnapped Vigilante Chairman identified as Mr. Ilodigwe in Ukwulu Community, Kachy Ilodigwe, in Dunukofia local council of Anambra State on Sunday morning.

Congress learnt that the Vigilante chairman was returning from church service when the gunmen double-crossed him with their car and whisked him away.

A community source who confirmed the incident to newsmen said: “They then pointed a gun at him, shot into the air and put him into their car.”

It was also gathered that Ukwulu community has been terrorised by gunmen in the recent times. This was followed by the last month’s incident where a citizen of the community was clubbed to death in a farm land in what looked like a land-related issue.

The Police Public Relations Officer in Anambra, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu when contacted said he is yet to be briefed on the incident.
