JUST IN: NNPC Pecks Price Per Region N1,000/litre in Borno, N950 in Lagos

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPCL) has pecked it petrol price according to regional distance from the Dangote Refinery above N1,000 per litre in the northern part of the country.
Congress news learnt that the NNPC spokesman, Olufemi Soneye, in his press released on Monday, said, ‘NNPC Ltd discloses Estimated Pump Prices of PMS from Dangote Refinery base on September 2024 Pricing’.
Meanwhile, the Spokesman emphasize that the price may increase to N1,019/ per litre in places like Borno State, and N999.22 in Abuja, Sokoto, Kano, and others, adding that Oyo, Rivers and other areas in the South, it will be sold N960 per litre.
However, other source also released that the NNPC will be selling at N950 in Lagos and its environs.
“The NNPC Ltd has released estimated prices of Premium Motor Spirit, also known as petrol (obtained from the Dangote Refinery) in its retail stations across the country.
The NNPC Ltd also wishes to express that, in consonance with the provisions of the Petroleum Industry Act, PMS prices are not set by the government, but is subject to discuss directly between parties at an arm’s length,” he stated
“The NNPC Ltd has cleared the air that if the quoted prices is disputed, it will be delightful for any discount from the Dangote Refinery, which will be passed on 100 per cent to the general public,” the statement added”.
